Spiritual Influence

Image
I don't know if I need to say anything more after this- Spiritual Influence By Paul S. Atkinson Strange and different things Come our way without warning Whether they are circumstance or happenstance They are too deliberate to be coincidence Those mystic wisps that direct and redirect Sway and swoon, entice and enclose Yet in the middle of our lives Seem so innocent and incidental These are the unseen winds Gently, almost unnoticeably Moving us across the waters of life The rudder guiding from the hiding place  beneath (And, a picture by him as well.)

I wish I could take a break

Imagine yourself sitting in the World’s most comfortable chair, so cushiony and soft that it relaxes    you to sleep.  Let the seat also be of profound beauty, beauty with simplicity.  With  this  hypothetical situation, think that you are in a fresh dew-covered  grassy  ground.  There  are  multiple evergreen trees in the background, swaying because of  the  cool  breeze  which  just  kissed your cheek.  You put your feet up on the congenial stool kept just  at  the  right  distance,  and  you feel your ever muscle distressing.  There is a grand glass kept...

The Elation Of Crying

Image
When I first came to the Earth, I was given to a man with a white coat. Everyone  was calling  him  a  ‘ Doctor’.   He  took  me  softly  in  his  arms  but  out of  a sudden,  he started  patting   my  back   ruthlessly.  I  was  shaken,   and  I   cried.  I didn’t  know  what  sin  I  had committed  that  he  hit  me; I  hadn’t even  kicked him,  like I  used to kick  my mother  sometimes, when I  was  really mad at her.   When the  first tear  flew out of my eye  and I whined,  even my  own parents  were smiling! ...

I believe in God, no matter what....

The petit girl was talking to her cousin sister over the phone for more than thirty minutes now, and they had talked about almost all existing odd matters. "You should read that book. It's all about the Hindu God named Lord Shiva." the small lady suggested her cousin as their conversation was stuck on the topic of novels at the moment.  "I don't believe in such things." her sister replied. The perplexed girl questioned, "Such things? What are you  referring  to?" Her cousin boldly kept forward the thought that ruled her life "I don't believe in God." The little kid got a bit fearful at the fearless statement. The fearlessness of those words indicated pride, acceptance and happiness with the decision that she thought to be evil. This surly made her sensitive soul shiver with fear. It was unexpected for her. "Okay." was all that she could manage to say. They talked a little more but the statement that she had jus...

Friends for Life…

Image
17 th  June, 2014  was the exact day I was feeling  aggravated.  I  didn’t  know   wh y but I   felt  like  nothing  near  me  could  make  me   feel  better,  not money,  not my favorite  actor and  not  even  chocolates!  I was missing my friends, my four friends who make up my life. I wasn’t able to contact them that day.  When I would break down, they would pick me up. Whenever I  realized  I  am  worth  nothing,  they   hid  this  simple  truth.  Whenever  I  need  to  weep,  they  give  me  their  shoulders.  When I  laugh ,...

The Pain in Everybody's Life

My dad had just promised me to buy my favorite dress. I was flabbergasted. “But”, he continued. I smiled to myself, I knew it was coming. “You’ve to   help  me  get  some  grocery  for  the  house.”  I  gaped  at  him.  “Do  you  mean  I’ve   to go  to that  crowded  vegetable  market  which has  the  ability  to suffocate   me to  death!?”  I asked.  He just nodded. “It’s fatal and dangerous for a small girl like me!” I  protested with a puppy face. He shrunk his eyes at my over  reaction.  “Okay. Maybe you are too small...

A Look At The Real Problems

I slouched in my armchair, still quite strained about the loss of my one and a  half marks and the friendship of an immensely sterling friend. Every time my  brother  would see my nerve-racked,  he  would  drag  me  to  a  burger   parlor  to make  me feel  mentally convalescent,  but  he  wasn’t  home  that  day.  ‘I hope  he  is back soon’, my mind chanted. It didn’t  take more  than a few  minutes for  my wish  to be granted.  My brother saw  me, smiled  and asked,  “What now?” As always, I acted reluctant, because I few I could...
